Starting Anew

It has been eight years since my first blog. I created it as a part of my Friendster account back when it was all the rage. As a sophomore high school student, I used my blog like it was my private journal, thinking that no one would be interested in reading the rants and anxieties of a confused twelve-year-old like myself. But apparently I had an audience, because word somehow reached my parents (who don't have Friendster accounts) of the content of some of my posts.

I poured my feelings into my blog, even complaining about the actions of certain faculty of the high school I was in. The faculty had not violated any rules or anything like that, rather, my posts were simple whines of a student who had been inconvenienced by actions that I believed to be unfair because they were disadvantageous to me. Ah, how simple life was back then. Anyway, when word got to my parents, I was forced to delete said posts for they were likely to damage my chances of graduating with honors if word ever reached the administration of my school. I was so disheartened by having to censor my opinion that I decided to delete the entire blog and, a year later, my Friendster account.

Now, I am a graduating college student who will soon join the ranks of the workforce. I hope that by recording my journey, I will be able to tell a simple story to the world of an asthmatic boy making his way through the world following the instructions of a man he never met but he trusts with all that he is.
